Looking to add $10M to this project due to projects 1 and 2 being underbid. - 2024 CRISI Grant – Phase III - Project 4 – CW Branch ($58M): Davenport to Wilbur - FRA reviewing documentation for obligation. FRA expects to complete their review this month. - 2026 CRISI Grant – Phase IV - Project 5 – CW Branch ($40M): Wilbur to Hanson - 17-mile improvement project - Expecting NOFO announcement in a couple weeks. Division’s GEC, HNTB, will be drafting the application. - Estimate complete and working on 30% Preliminary Plans - BLPI/WIMRY Update - RRB1233 Amendment 7 – Leased Property Revision - SS&P has signed the amendment and has been sent to the AAG for signature. - Amendment 7 needs to be executed before the BLPI/WSDOT operating lease agreement. - BLPI/WSDOT operating lease agreement - Sent BLPI the agreement for signature. - Once the agreement is executed, WIMRY will submit the agreement to STB to be an approved operator in Washington. - SS&P/WIMRY Interchange plan - SS&P will amend their Interchange Agreement while WIMRY is getting STB approval. - Siding Update (CW Branch) - The sidings at Hite, Wilbur and Medical Lake were closed in February. - WER and Highline have partnered up to repair the sidings. WSDOT provided 230 ties. All three sidings are back open. - Ties and surfacing would help resolve the gauge issue. Scheduling a workshop with HighLine and WER in April/May to discuss the issues, subleases, and develop a short and long-term strategy. - Palouse SR 27 rail crossing and retaining wall status update. - Rail Crossing – No update, scheduling a meeting to check in with the Region Traffic and Signal Office. - HQ Traffic Office has provided a preliminary estimate for camera/radar and lidar detection equipment at the crossing and advanced warning light north of the crossing along SR 27. Equipment will cost between $90,000 - $135,000.
