Good afternoon Albert, I would like to let you know about a new transmission line that we are currently siting in the West Plains area (separate from the project you and I have been discussing the past few months). The new Bluebird to Garden Springs 230 kV West Plains Transmission Line Project is part of an overall effort to increase the capacity and reliability of Avista's 230 kV transmission system. The bulk of Avista's 230 kV transmission system was constructed in the late 1950's and 1960's after the completion of Cabinet Gorge and Noxon Rapids Dams located on the Clark Fork River. This project will help ensure that we are able to continue serving customers safely and reliably. We will be notifying property owners that are within a ¼ mile of the transmission project in early August where we will invite them to an open house meeting that is tentatively scheduled for September-October 2023. During the open house, we will review the proposed route and transmission line appearance while discussing any comments or concerns that they may have. Below is a schedule for the next few months for your information: August 2023: Notify property owners of proposed transmission line. September-October 2023: Hold open house meetings with the public. November-December 2023: Review and incorporate public comments into final route.
