We have been working with Katherine Miller regarding the water supply from the City of Airway Heights for the Big Rock Project located in the West Plains. We are currently awaiting confirmation of available volumes and water quality parameters, which have been delayed due to a consultant review. This information is critical for finalizing the design of our on-site water treatment system and maintaining the project schedule. We want to reiterate our firm intent to utilize reclaimed water from Airway Heights as the primary water source for the project, and we appreciate your continued coordination and support in helping move this forward. Hi James, Happy New Year as well. Thank you for the update. We’ve had some downtime; our consultant left his place of employment to start up his own business which caused a delay. We had to go through the RFQ process to establish a new selection of consultants for an on-call service. I’m expecting our Council to approve the selections at their next meeting on Jan 20th. After that we will have to enter into contracts and get the contract back to Council for approval. I’m hopeful we’ll be done by the end of February at the latest. I am also working to finalizing a 2nd meeting with our Council subcommittee to further the conversation. Airway Heights has an existing water reuse plan that is specific to serving within Airway Heights’ boundary and did not contemplate outside service that they need to weigh in on. With a new Council members starting this month, they have not finalized their committee assignments. I should know after the 20th who’s on the PW’s committee and hopefully when they are willing to meet. We will be asking for a meeting sometime during the last week in Jan as our first request. Hi James, Sorry for the delayed response. As I mentioned at our onsite meeting, we won’t produce enough to the level needed to support the data center. I know you are interested in all available water and that does come down to a policy decision. I have been working on getting a meeting set up with our Council subcommittee to brief them on this potential. Please keep in mind that this is a theoretical discussion at this point since Airway Heights doesn’t have the ability to serve outside of its water service area. That would only be possible if Airway Heights had permission from the City of Spokane since your property falls within their jurisdiction. I did see your email reaching out to Spokane to start the conversation. While you are having conversations with the City of Spokane, I will continue to move the conversation forward on Airway Heights end. James, Sean Just following up from our meeting last week. I will need to contact our consultant who has overseen the City’s reclaimed water system and modeling for several years. That person has recently left their previous employment and has opened their own consulting firm. I share this to say, I may need to establish a new contract before I am able to provide a complete answer to your question about capacity. In the meantime, you had also asked about any water quality information. I’m happy to share the attached report, but would recommend you doing your own sampling for future planning purposes.
