Executive Committee, Thank you for your responses on meeting times to discuss the SWC CEO employment contract. April 28th at 7:30am was the best time to convene a quorum. An invite has been sent out. If you are not able to attend virtually, please submit any questions concerns prior to the meeting so that the committee can take those into account during the discussion. Your presence by phone only is welcome as well. As a review, the Spokane Workforce Council (SWC) CEO employment contract template was provided to Foster Garvey PC for legal review. Foster Garvey PC was asked to review, update, and revise the document to ensure compliance with current federal and Washington State employment laws. They were also asked to identify any necessary changes or additions based on SWC’s status as a Washington State local government employer, as well as its affiliated 501(c)(3) entity recognized under the Internal Revenue Code. The Executive Committee is asked to review the draft contract and submit questions and concerns in advance of this meeting. During the meeting on the April 28th, the Executive Committee will engage in further discussion as needed, with the goal of approving the contract. The Committee will also establish the parameters within which the Search Committee Chair, Christina Vigil-Gross, is authorized to negotiate on behalf of the Executive Committee.
