Hi Tate, Thanks for the clarification and the additional map. Is there a site where one could zoom in on individual study area and find out more about it? Also it might be good to share with the group the criteria used to select and evaluate the study areas. As far as the TAC as a whole weighing in, my opinion is that we should revisit our TAC’s “charge” and craft any response thru that lens. Speaking of our charge, I remain interested in seeing how the WAC-required open space corridors are being represented in the UGAs. Thanks, kerry

Re: NRL TAC Meeting

Kerry et al., That map is reflective on infill study areas under alternative 1, not proposed UGA expansion study areas which are part of alternative 2. You can see the proposed expansion study areas on this map here: https://www.spokanecounty.gov/DocumentCenter/View/65939/BothAltsMap_02102026?bidId= This TAC has only ever sent a letter in support of the comprehensive plan element work to the PC. There has not been a formal submittal of comment from the TAC as a whole on UGA study areas as part of the county's growth alternatives. I can tell you for certain that the areas that were picked are going to be studied for potential impacts. We plan to have our draft EIS released on May 22nd, in which there will be a 30-day comment period ahead of a PC meeting on June 25th. I would advise that any comments from this TAC regarding the UGA study areas be provided during the draft EIS comment period. This TAC is made up of multiple individuals, departments and agency representation, so I would urge that any comments summarized from the TAC are representative of the TAC as a whole, otherwise comments should be made on an individual basis. If there are any questions, please let me know. Tate Andrie | Planner | O: 509.477.7141 Spokane County Planning | http://www.spokanecounty.org/BP

Tate can you confirm that this still represents the UGA alterations under study? Happy to chat more off line. kerry Hi NRL TAC: Hope the morning is going well, and apologies for missing the last meeting - sounds like there were some great discussions. I wanted to follow up on a conversation I know was had back around a TAC letter to be sent to PC regarding our alignment of comments and update as a group. Did we ever get that document formalized? If not, I would bring that forth for discussion again, as I know the UGA expansion discussion will be had by the Growth Management Steering Committee later this month, and I want to ensure that there's the proper degree of discussion around ensuring the UGA doesn't expand to encompass more of the Hangman/Thorpe area, as that's been a major focal point of future protections by this group and subsequent comments to the Rural and Natural Lands Chapter. I do know there is a developer who is looking to pitch expansion directly into this corridor, hence why I bring this up again. I would defer to Tate, planning and perhaps Kerry for further context on this, but would be happy to help draft something up as needed. Attached is the updated natural resource chapter based off feedback from our latest rural outreach. Additions were minor and are highlighted in yellow. Additional items will include CAO timeline updates, as well as maps and discussion on the updated wildlife corridor established in the BAS and how that may impact land use changes. ________________________________________________________________________________ Microsoft Teams meeting Join: https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/222089899918979?p=t7BSApwDnzLMZUJMOp Meeting ID: 222 089 899 918 979 Passcode: tF6CJ94C Need help? | System reference For organizers: Meeting options Org help | Privacy and security
