Hello, I am concerned about the short term trade- off of jobs and infrastructure offered by the developers of the proposed Date Centers when compared to the long term negative impacts of the ongoing use of our resources. 1. Housing values are threatened by their presence 2. The destruction of wildlife habitats 3. The effects on public health due the constant generator noise pollution 4. Our aquifer is already stressed from the population growth and ongoing usage of water. These problems and many more will be ongoing problems for many many many years to come as compared to maybe a one year boost in employment and a one year boost in infrastructure. Perhaps we should spend more time figuring out how we can upgrade our infrastructure within AVista and our power grid instead of taking the easy way out with a data center. Where do these center plan on disposing of its used water? Will our utility rates increase will our water resource decrease? What are we trading off? This is Carla Brooks and I both know absolutely no data centers in Spokane.
