New proposed legislation related to tax breaks for data centers has led to conversations at a Commissioners’ meeting and an article in the Spokesman-Review about data centers potentially siting in Spokane County. Avista believes that any large load data center should be developed in partnership with communities, and only when the costs of integrating these large loads into our system provide benefits to our existing customers. I wanted to reach out and see if you would see value in setting up a meeting with Avista’s subject matter experts to brief you, Scott, and Kyle about Avista’s new large load process and answer any questions you may have?
