The BoT supported you chatting with Cindy Newell to gauge her interest in potentially helping out the LL. We agree that more structure is preferred; i.e., set hours on set days instead of coming in sporadically. Knowing how many hours she would like to work will inform conversations with HR about whether she’s “extra help” or a part-time employee to whom we offer benefits. Will you be able to visit with Cindy? I appreciated that Cindy didn’t want to speak negatively about Cynthia – speaks to her character. However, we also want to make sure that her intentions to return are to serve patrons and work with the BoT. Thanks again for your extra efforts with the LL. Although the unexpected departure has been challenging – particularly for you, it’s a great opportunity to better serve pro se litigants and the local legal community.
