Hello Council Members, Attached are the agenda and materials for our Feb 11th Spokane Workforce Council meeting. We will convene this meeting in-person and also offer a Microsoft Teams option for those who cannot make it there, but I encourage all those who can to please attend in-person. At this meeting, staff and board member will share insights from the Legislative Hill Climb in Olympia and provide updates on key initiatives. The agenda will include mid-year program performance highlights, a mid-year financial update, and a review of the SAO accountability audit report. Board members will also participate in an interactive engagement activity designed to deepen understanding of the local workforce system, including its structure, terminology, and how the system functions as a whole. Information will be shared about the upcoming Career Expo 2026. In addition, the CEO Hiring Committee will provide an update on the status of the search and present the proposed process for the required full board CEO approval vote. The location of the meeting is at the Ruby River Hotel, 700 N Division St in the Shoreline A Ballroom, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. with breakfast provided – please come early to network if your schedule allows. If parking fills up right near the front doors, there is ample free parking behind the hotel (continue driving down the main parking lot) as well as across North River Drive from the hotel.
