Good afternoon all, Attached is a copy of the final Climate Change & Resiliency element, which will be presented as a workshop item to the Planning Commission on January 29. A couple of notes from the Cascadia Consulting team about this draft: - We have consolidated some policies throughout the draft to streamline policies with similar objectives and topics. This also helps ensure the feasibility of the Climate Element. All the policy ideas and objectives we worked with the County and CPTAC to create are still represented in the current list of policies; often the original language remains as well just as a policy combined with a related policy. - We created a brief implementation guide to provide some preliminary, overarching guidance on policy priority and timelines. This is included after the policy list and before the appendices. Please provide your final vote on this element as soon as possible. Kerry Brooks will be providing a written endorsement of the final element to accompany it and let the Planning Commission know that it has the support of CPTAC. Also, as a final note: there will be no CPTAC this month, as there are no other discussion items beyond a final vote on this document before bringing it before the Planning Commission.
