Hi Heather, Attached is an updated use table and definitions list based on the consolidation we mentioned yesterday. * NEW Use Chart 17.05 (w/o JLUS): this version retains one column per zone and uses P* to point people to the table in 17.10. * NEW Use Chart 17.05 (w/ JLUS): this splits the C zones by CNEL by reflecting the restrictions in 17.10 and, in some cases, 17.16. This preferred option would allow us to remove table 2 in 17.10 and instead direct code users to 17.16 for the technical sound attenuation requirements. * NEW Prohibited Uses 17.05: This list contains all of the uses not permitted anywhere in the existing 17.05 chart. * Definitions 17.04: Calls out a few new definitions either due to state mandates or to support the more generalized use types in the consolidated use tables. * The crosswalk tabs show how we reclassified, consolidated, or removed the original uses listed in 17.05 and 17.10. A few things to consider as you review: * Are there any missing uses? Should Cannabis Retail or Data Center be listed? * Are there other uses the City wants to explicitly prohibit? * Are there opportunities for further consolidation? * Once we confirm the uses and permissions in 17.05, we suggest removing the lists of permitted, conditional, and prohibited uses within each zone chapter. Specific use-based standards (e.g. courtyard housing in NFR/MFR or performance standards for permitted industrial uses in 17.12 and 17.13) will be retained. There are a few occasions where use permissions conflict across the City's existing chapters. We used our best judgement, but will be looking to you to make adjustments. Please feel free to mark-up the spreadsheet or email your suggestions/questions back to me. We can discuss sticking points during our next meeting on August 24.
