Commissioner French, I wanted to share the attached one-page overview of a concept Apricus Energy Partners has been evaluating related to PFAS-impacted groundwater in the West Plains area. In simple terms, the idea is to help turn part of the region’s groundwater contamination challenge into a long-term community asset through a “pump, treat, and reuse” approach. The concept would evaluate: - Extracting PFAS-impacted groundwater from targeted areas - Treating the water using proven treatment technologies - Reusing the treated water for appropriate non-potable purposes such as: - Data center cooling - Hydrogen production - Industrial reuse - Irrigation, dust control, and fire protection - Potential managed aquifer recharge where appropriate One of the potential advantages of this model is that beneficial industrial reuse could help support portions of the treatment and infrastructure costs through private-sector participation, reducing some long-term burden on local governments and ratepayers. We believe this concept could support: - Active groundwater remediation - Protection of potable water resources - Responsible economic development - Long-term aquifer stewardship - Regional leadership in innovative water management At this stage, we are simply seeking feedback and determining whether a broader feasibility discussion with local stakeholders may be worthwhile.
